7/25/2007 Poor Judgement
On July 25,my wife, myself and another couple went to have lunch at La Viola Restaurant in Cedarhurst. For the first time we had a 10% coupon that was advertised in the Yellow Book, so we presented this to the owner's son. Since we go to this restaurant frequently, we were taken back when it was refused with the excuse that we were there for lunch and this discount could only be accepted for dinner. When I asked the owners son where in the ad does it tell one that it should only be for Dinner and not Lunch, there was no response, however, he made it known that he was not accepting it. I suggested that in the future when they advertise they should stipulate "Dinner Only". However, I truly feel that if only to extend goodwill to a customer this should have been accepted... since this was their error and not correctly advertised. I believe this was in poor judgement on the part of management.
