We should have gone to The Outback!

My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with dinner at Mac’s last evening. The service, décor and side dishes, as well as my steak, the 30-day aged strip steak, were excellent.
My wife’s petite filet mignon however, was the product of indifference in the kitchen. She ordered it medium-well after our waiter said that would be pink and warm in the middle. It came to the table charred on both sides and very well done in the middle. She had a few bites and pushed it aside and took a piece of my steak. The waiter asked how things were and she told him. He offered to “make it right” but she had lost her appetite and didn’t want to wait for another steak.
It’s hard for me to believe that the cook could be so inept and indifferent to send out that steak. I barbecue filets every month on our grill and have never gotten one that far wrong.
Someone in a suit knew of our displeasure and, as we were about to leave, our waiter said “the suit” offered us free desert. We were in no mood to stay.
Needless to say, we will never return.
