Great Experience - Going Back!

My experience is quite opposite from the previous review. We went to Mim's three times and look forward to returning. Food is delicious with great presentation...Employees are friendly and efficient!

Awful Service

My boyfriend and I have been to Mim's several times and each time we have encountered horrible service. I actually really love the food, I always get the sauteed scallops and its always wonderful but unfortunately its not enough to make me go back. We went there a week ago and called ahead (they don't take reservations for parties under 6) when we arrived there were several open tables when we asked to sit at a particular table (a 4 top) the hostess insisted that she could only sit us at a table for 2. Now I have worked in the restaurant business for many years and completely understand this logic, however it was not busy and there were many open tables. Needless, to say, she then sat us at a table that had 1 napkin with a salad and dinner fork at one setting and the other had a knife, the table was wobbly and we had to ask at least 3 times before it was actually taken care of. When we asked for a place setting we got another napkin and a knife (hmmm do they know how to set a table), we also had to ask to see a wine list instead of being asked if we'd like to order a drink. To top it all off after having been seated for about 10 min another couple walked in and the hostess proceeded to sit them at the table for 4 that we had originally requested (I am not quite sure maybe I had to slip the hostess a 50 or something), this couple even got drinks before us. The whole experience was horrible and I will never dine at Mim's again.
